Fish Recipes

Before you can cook ’em, you have to catch ’em –
in the Yukon, that’s easy, though!

Beer Batter

Makes good onion rings.

  • 1 Beer or Sprite
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 Drops Tabasco Sauce
  • 4/5 lbs Pike filets – boneless
  • Flour
  • Oil
  • Dill, garlic, seasoned salt, lemon, pepper – to taste

Put all ingredients into bowl and add flour until thickens (drips off fish).
Dip fish in batter. Place in oil.

Test – The oil is ready when a drop of batter will sink then rise to the top.

  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 5-6 tbsp. flour

Add Pike or Prawns.
Add flour to thicken.
